I’m a firefighter, a boat owner, and the founder of 1st Due Products. After years of watching salt eat away at my gear, my boat, and even my engine, I got fed up. I tried every so-called “salt remover” on the market, but nothing held up to real-life use. Everything was either too weak, too harsh, or just didn’t work.

So I made my own.

I spent months mixing, testing, and refining a formula that could do what others couldn’t: break down salt on contact, protect surfaces from corrosion, and still be safe for everything from fiberglass and chrome to rubber and vinyl. It had to work on my boat, my fire gear, my truck, my engine — all of it.
